Program
Overview
The program consists of the following:
Attending recovery support group meetings
- Participating in group projects and service work
- Attending church or equivalent spiritual service
- Doing assigned household chores
- Attending group meeting inside the home
Group and individual counseling will be available 24 hours a day by a variety of clergymen and counselors from different demonimations and religions.
A vital part of the program involves discussing the effects and causes of addiction and recovery. We encourage residents to keep a daily journal of feelings as they progress through the program. We also encourage physical exercise for recreation as it is viewed as a vital part of the recovery process.
Assistance in job searching is available for those not employed when they enter the program.
Qualifications
Agape is a faith-based organization, but our services are open to all. We believe recovery should reach people of all religions, nationalities, races, sexual orientations, and ages. The Agape facility is currently open to male clients only.
Applicants must be able to pass a preadmission drug/alcohol screen upon acceptance into the program. Also, a resident must agree to undergo drug/alcohol testing at the discretion of the staff. Failure to comply with any aspect of the requirements will result in the immediate dismissal from the program. There is an entry fee along with weekly program fees. This helps offset the cost of room and board as well as 24 hour counseling.
